Wide World of Wikis -- Welcome to the Web 2.0 Classroom
-- a TechnoBlast Summer Technology Academy Workshop --

Harness the emerging collaboration tool Wiki by creating your interactive portal where students and teachers can learn from one another without constraint of time or space.


Workshop Objectives:   

  • Participants will build a working structure and knowledge to create and maintain a pbwiki.
  • Participants will learn how to upload slideshows, images, videos, graphs, links and gadgets such as calendars and timelines into their wiki.
  • Participants will create a wiki using the pbwiki website.
  • Participants will use social bookmarking using delicious.  
ITLS Standards:     A.x.1, A.x.2, A.x.3, A.x.4, A.x.5, B.x.5, B.x.7

Ed Tech Consortium Registration Fee:     $ 20  **
**  Registrations are not confirmed until payment is received.            Consortium districts:  Auburndale, Cambria-Friesland, Lodi, Montello, Necedah, Nekoosa, New Lisbon, Pardeeville, Pittsville, Port Edwards, Princeton, Randolph, Rio, Waupaca, Westfield, Wild Rose

Educators from other CESA 5 districts may register beginning May 1st on a space available basis.  Registration fee will be $50 per day.

Optional Viterbo University Graduate Credit - TechnoBlast Summer Academy
$90 for one credit (attendance for two days plus lesson plan & reflections)
$180 for two credits (attendance all four days plus lesson plan & reflections)
Enrollment forms will be available at the Academy. 

Registration is limited to 20.  If the workshop is full, contact Janet Gaber to be placed on the waiting list.
